Peter’s career has been largely based on founding and leading telecommunications and payments companies in Australia, Canada, Africa and Asia. This includes multiple exits to public-listed and private equity-backed companies in Australia and the US. Prior experience includes management and sales positions with Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC) and Telstra. Peter is a regular speaker and thought-leader on entrepreneurship, innovation, digital transformation and payments.
Peter is a graduate of the Royal Military College, Duntroon; has completed a BSc (UNSW), a Grad Dip Computing (Canberra) and the Graduate Diploma in Securities course from the Securities Institute of Australia. Peter is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Peter is an accountant by profession with extensive experience as a director and officer of ASX-listed entities. He brings more than 15 years of experience in operational management, business administration and project evaluation in the IT, hospitality and mining sectors.
Peter is also the Non-Executive Chairman of Family Zone Education (ASX:FZO) and a Non-Executive Director of Dubber Corporation (ASX: DUB), Knosys (ASX: KNO), and VRX Silica (ASX: VRX).
Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia, is a current member of the Certified Practising Accountants of Australia, and holds a Masters of Business Administration from Curtin University.
Kenneth Lai is the managing director and owner of Prestige Team Limited, an investment company that, together with its subsidiaries, holds an investment portfolio in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. Prestige Team Limited has interests in real estate, payment processing, digital marketing and information technology support services. Kenneth has funded and invested in various Silicon Valley technology funds focusing on business opportunities within Asia. He also co-founded Legend World Development Technology Limited, a limited liability company incorporated in Hong Kong, which provides information technology solutions and integrated marketing solutions to business setups, and in which he is a shareholder and advisor.
Kenneth holds a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Computer Science from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Steven Zhou brings more than 15 years of international experience in the financial services industry to Novatti, with specialist skills in international banking services that include mortgage broking and cross-border payments.
A member of the Mortgage Industry Association of Australia (MIAA) and Mortgage and Finance Associate of Australia (MFAA), Steven expanded his professional networks by helping connect residents with international banking services. Steven also helped establish various relationships with the Bank of China, Alipay and Ant Financial in his previous roles.
Since returning to Australia permanently, Steven joined the Novatti Board in 2017 and has continued to assist migrants to secure commercial loans and manage cross-border payments. He also consults for a range of financial service businesses as a well-respected figure within the Chinese community both locally and overseas.
Steven is also a Director of LifePay, a digital banking app.
